The middle part of the evening, however, was brillant" "It is already dusk" by Ewa Wycichowska (staging and choreography) with music by Henryk M. Górecki (String Quartet, "It is already dusk"). The ballet is based on an unusual introduction of a figure of supernatural height signifying the power of death. A four-meter figure (a dancer on stilts) unifies in dance with the other six dancers of natural height. Przemysław Grządziela-dancing this part-presented an exeptional technical preparation and in a duo he raised his partner high in the air astounding the viewers with his skills. The formal meaning of this idea is of importance. Ewa Wycichowska created choreography that in certain sequences underlined the meaning of vertical axis. This is an inventive element in the development of the language of contemporary dance. It is an on-stage application of the pursuits of Philippe Decoufle well known from his open air shows.
